I can take a stab at it, if moncsi doesn't mind. I'll grab them tonight before the clock strikes 12 just in case.

moncsi, I really appreciate that you've supplied us this forum. I know it's a lot of extra work on your part that takes away from your personal time and family and I can't Thank You enough for taking it on. I started an Excel spreadsheet starting with the numbers ending Dec 27th and tried to mirror what you've previously done. If I can help free up some of your personal time by doing this, please let me know. I'd like to help you out more here, if I can. I probably didn't state that well but I hope you know what I mean. s7926

Are we going for maximum points every week now, or still stopping after 1500? I'm so unsure what to do, whether to save up my shards for next week, or keep spending them on levels?

I'm not willing to go for maximum levels after we've reached 1500 levels for my own reasons. For one thing, we have several new members who aren't familiar with our previous policy of stopping at personal levels of 50 until later in the week. I'd been waiting for moncsi to post the weekly stats so that I could open the discussion again of doing this so that those at lower levels could contribute more. As it stands now, we've stopped doing that for awhile now and all of us at higher levels (me included) just leveled up as high as we can once the new week started, which defeats the purpose of why lower levelers should contribute much at all. As you can now see by Eboney's chart, a couple of tribe members who are not on the forum stand out. The oaktapus has stayed at level 25 for a long time now, so it appears that he is not going to ever give more than 25 levels each week. Since he's someone we can't contact, we don't know his future motives. The dandioo used to give a lot more previously but looks like he's decided to cut back. I watched his ethereal island a couple weeks ago and saw that he was saving his shards to buy a new wubbox. That's fine, but now he has five on his ethereal island and we know they give a lot of shards yet he's not contributing any more. Maybe he's saving them to buy expensive decorations. That's fine too but since he's someone else that we can't reach either, can we discuss these two people since we still have a waiting list for others to join? We'd once said that ideally for a full tribe such as ours, the goal was for each member to contribute 50 levels to be fair to everyone else. Of course, I'm not referring to forum members who are struggling at lower levels so don't anyone reading this get anxious about what I'm saying. I'd just like to get others' opinions on this since we have new members and others waiting in the wings (like wrinkles) who might be joining us soon. Not saying the dandidoo or oaktapus should be released from the tribe, but I'd just like to hear what others have to say since I've been so opinionated on fairness. As you can see from my standings, I've cut back in recent weeks since the policy was that as lower levelers increased their contributions, the higher levelers would decrease their levels. May we discuss this please?

Agree. :) It is a pity we cannot contact EquusWizard, are we sure we have players that can contribute to more than 25 in the waiting list? Fot tj (the dandidoo), i see the contributions have been reduced the last 4 weeks, which is long enough in my mind to show a lack of interest. I would let go. One more thing: Dani: does anyone know when she will be back in the game? Because i am not even sure she actually gets the cumulated 20 diamonds every week if not playing... annatar , i think you are contributing a lot for your level, which is great. Maybe you can spend your additional shards for yourself, instead of contributing even more... :) I see the point of the higher contributers contributing less to give an incentive to the lower contributers to contribute more. However, i am now in a similar situation to Firefly with most of my ethereal monsters being at L15 with 100% happiness, so i don't have much use of additional shards anyway... PS: thank you very much Lil Bee , !! :) :)

I've been debating for days how to participate or even if I want to participate in this discussion but perhaps fellow Tribal members need to know my point of view because I am a Tribe member. According to MSM Wikia, "Starpower is a separate score for each individual player, but it is earned by participating in Tribal Islands. At the end of the week--at the same time as Rewards are distributed for reaching Tribal Goals--every Tribal Island member's Starpower score will increase. The amount of Starpower awarded is calculated based on your individual contributions, and increases the more members you have in your Tribe, unlike the diamond rewards which are based solely on the Tribal Island level. Each player earns 5 starpower per individual level contributed, plus a base value common to all tribal members. The formula for the common base value is currently unknown.
An individual player's Starpower accumulates continuously from week to week, and does not reset when leaving a Tribal Island or joining another.
Starpower can be used to make purchases in the StarShop.
It is not yet clear whether Starpower will be used anywhere else in the game, other than Big Blue Bubble says it will be used again."An activated Starpower feature added a new dimension to the game. As long as we are meeting our Tribal goal, we should let every member, regardless of game level, play every aspect of the game. It is their game and their resources being expended. We are at 1500 and topped out and we are not struggling to meet our goal. Since Starpower is now also earned individually and a part of it is based on how many levels a member contributes each week, it is unfair to ask any member wanting to achieve more Starpower they can't. Future Starpower possibilities added a much needed new avenue in my main game that was getting boring and repetitive. With Starpower now earned individually as well, I would like to explore that aspect of the game. I too was told to play my game the way I wanted and to give what I wanted because not everyone would ever agree. I've spent more than a year working on my main game. I don't agree that to encourage lower level players you must discourage higher level players. You mentor lower level players with advice and tips so they can improve their games but not at the expense of others. Lower level players will get there too but they need to practice patience and perseverance and that is found within themselves. I have a lower level 2nd game. Every week when we hit 1500, any shards I would have given to Tribal are saved, used immediately the next week at Tribal, and then I build on it. I find it easier to meet my personal member goal and yet still be able to put a few shards back to improve my Ethereal Island. My guess is that others are doing the same, so it is not a foreign concept. If some don't but can, then that is by choice. Noncontributing members will always be a problem and the only way to deal with them, in my opinion, is directly. I feel each Tribe member should be responsible for themselves and what they accomplish. Personal responsibility and accountability is an integral part of my personality. If the course of the Tribe is to stifle players, I won't swim against the current and cause waves but I won't support a decision that player's must penalize themselves because of the choices made by others. I want to play this game the way I want too and my view should also be respected as long as I am contributing to the Tribe what is expected. If leveling high at Tribal is going to be discouraged and viewed as undesirable, it would be better for the Tribe, if I remove myself so as not to cause further discord.

So are you thinking to join another tribe which promotes to level as high as possible? I am a little confused by your decision...

Originally I've stopped posting the statistics because the purpose of the sheets were to see when we can reach the final diamond reward level steadily... Since we have done that, it doesn't really matter who levels to where anymore... It should be everybody's own decision to level further than required to earn their starpowers to their individual games. If somebody decides to level just enough, that should be ok, too... We can continue to post the summaries, but it shouldn't serve the purpose to pick on others, anymore. I'm really sorry that I was forced to take 6 days away from my computer, the game, and the forum. I'm very surprised to learn, that this forum became the extension of our tribal island life in the mean time. This forum main purpose was to give home for all of us who seek further communication and share experiences not only with the game, but all other things we find interesting, lifting, funny, supportive... etc. If anybody who decides to leave the tribal island leaves the forum, too, then this forum has failed to deliver, and that makes me sad. I will try to refresh the content and add interesting things, also delete what we were not so interested about. I would like to ask everybody who decides to leave the tribal island, that don't leave us all together - surely, we can stay friends even if our goals change in the game itself. s7926 s7926 s7926
