Pendy, who said your islands are not looking good? I was complimenting you and Dani on how hard you both are working on your islands!

I agree with most that i read. happy-yes-smiley-emoticon i agree we should let go one or 2 "low active" players to replace by new, active players.
Candidates can be Equuswizard (studk at level 28 for weeks and months), ranger of russia (no levelling this week and no real progress the previous weeks), or one of the new ones Danilo and xxxforever (these 2 seem to progress in their games, but what really matters in my mind is that we can contact them, or check their islands.) For tribe members not on the forum, and for which we don't have the friend code, it does not matter that much how they level...
We seem to manage to reach 1500 every week anyway, thanks to late additional levelling of some members, so we can afford to take a risk and let go one or two?
Who would you suggest?

At this point, I'm less concerned with having a full tribe or all monsters represented than I am with having all tribe members playing their games consistently (seeing actual development occuring or "movement" so far as active breeders/bakeries and food/gem retrievals). I've liked seeing new people come into the tribe so long as their contributions can be seen (feedings steadily rising which results in levels steadily rising). Since many new members are new to the game, I'd be more willing to let them stay a couple weeks longer to allow ample time to notice how their tribe leveling goes. Of course, we can't actually see their islands but can only go by their game and tribal levels. As for our oaktapus, his game has been at 28 levels for MONTHS, as NOL has stated. He's also only contributed 25 levels week after week for MONTHS but decided for some reason to cut back his leveling to 20 now this week?!? I've been watching his islands for all those months as well and he's not doing any development at all. He doesn't even retrieve his diamonds from the mines, doesn't retrieve or reset his bakeries at all, doesn't place or sell the monsters that have been sitting in the nurseries/breeders for months, and doesn't even try breeding for ANY kind of monster either to sell for coins or add to his islands. In other words, he's doing NOTHING with his game at all, other than come in to collect his tribal rewards of 20 diamonds and starpower. He's not using starpower to buy rare monsters or decor from the starshop and he's not collecting the diamonds from his mines either, or to save coins to buy a wubbox because he's not breeding anything to sell for coins. I did find it interesting that a couple weekends ago, he donated 15 levels late in the week, only to donate his usual 25 levels the very next day after reset. So obviously, he had many more than just the former 25 levels he always had before to give. And now he's cut back to 20? I don't think he would care one way or the other if he was released. He could see our islands so he knows others have been carrying him for a long time but we're actually PLAYING our games and take pride in our islands' development. There are literally thousands of tribes out there who are desperate for members. Let him find one of those where I am sure his 20-25 levels would be appreciated. Then he might know how some of us feel.

it would be nice if new members were also forum members but as long as they lvl up even if just a couple lvls above what they did previous week. to show us they were at least trying i wouldn't mind them being non forum members. nor would i mind going above my 50 to help out but with those who have been mentioned by NOL and fishyfemale still here i will stay at 50 just my position on this.

My personal goal for tribal island is to give all my shards to my tribal bogwart, because they have no other purpose. It also makes me happy to help other players, including those who are potentially newbies, as long as those players are still interested in the game. Nonetheless, in all fairness, the oaktopus (and the mammott) will be realeased tomorrow morning. A mammott is currently in the waiting list, and will join us (tomorrow morning) if it is still there. I too think that it is important to keep members who want to grow and play. Of course it is best when we can all communicate. I love this group. I just wish I had more time to chat and what not. I think our goals should probably change as our group changes. Right now I think it is good to hit the 1500 mark. (I just put the tub fountain on so now all if my shards will go to my sponge). I right now we need to support those growing their island. I'm so proud of Steve for getting his first and second ethreal on the island this week now he is breeding them and beginning to move up fast. He has only been playing for one month!
Later as we all grow we might want to try for higher goals, we can assess that as we go. All in all we want people who keep at it. Keep up the great work monsters!

I said most of my opinion a few days ago, when I was frustrated by having to carry people who could level, but didn't, so I'm not going to say much about that now. But as others have said, there's a big difference between players who are actively working on their games and growing, and those that are more or less freeloaders. I'm tired of carrying these, so I've decided to level less for a few weeks (50-60), so I can actually save up my shards to buy the things I need for my ethereals. I'll start levelling higher again after that is achieved.
I do think that it's a good idea to have a goal. Personally I don't care so much if we have a monster of each kind or not. I don't mind doubles of some monsters, or lacking others. But I do like to receive the 20 diamonds every week, so I prefer that we try to keep the tribe full. I also prefer that people try to reach 1500 each week by levelling up accordingly - which means that those who can level high, shouldn't stop at 50 as long as we have smaller (active) members who need help. Because the 50 level thing only works if everybody reach that level, and that isn't happening yet. I did the math in a previous post. I don't like having to carry people who easily could level up more themselves.
So my suggestion for a goal is to try to reach 1500 points and 20 gems each week, and everybody working actively to reach that goal.

We now have two new members (who are expected to level up this week): a mammott and a deedge, both of which are in my friends list. I'm on vacation this week, but I will still wait until this evening to feed my tribal bogwart.

I'm a little surprised that the cybop (the one referenced above by SNR) was allowed to reap the rewards while only giving four feedings (one level) this past week while the week before, he'd given around seven levels if I'm not mistaken. I KNOW he'd given a lot more in his first week though. I hope he enjoys the free diamonds and starpower. I'm only questioning this because the last thumpies we had only leveled up one level, to two, but was released right before the reset, and it was the thumpies' first week also.

that is 1 reason to keep the stats board going. it also is good even if ALL players lvl up as they should. it lets us check our own progress. that is something that should STAY as part of forum.
