These are the information I've gathered from experience and other, different sources...
1. The beginning - how to become a tribe member.
There are two ways to "apply" for membership in a tribe:
A) By invitation clicking "accept"
B) By clicking "join" to an existing tribe
In Both cases, you need choose the monster representing you in the tribe, and you need to wait for acceptance. You are accepted when the Chief of the tribe places your monster on the island.
2. Leveling your monster
You can level your monster with diamonds, with shards, with coins and with food. 1 level up takes 4 feeding, which can be a mixture of any four method - for example: you make up your 4 feedings with 1 click on diamonds, 1 on shards, and 2 on coins... etc.
All tribe members are equally benefiting from the total level of the tribe. This means, that at the end of the week, when the tribe level resets, the member who leveled up her monster to 36 gets the same amount of starpower and diamond reward as the member who leveled up their monster to level 3 (!)
The maximum achievable reward is 20 diamonds/member/week and 1500 starpower/member/wee - this requires a 1,500 total level of the island. Statistically speaking; every member should level up their monster to level 50 in a full, 30 members tribe... (I think, it is disgusting, but there are tribes achieved this level)
To unlock the Amber Monster, the island has to have at least 100 in level-total - speaking in a case of a full tribe, every member needs to level up their monster to level 4.
Starting level of the tribe depends on how many members it has.... 10 members tribe starts with level 10, 20 members tribe starts with level 20... etc.
Members can level only their own representing monster. You can represent yourself in a tribe only with one monster, and cannot change it.
Every member has a freedom to "jump" tribes; withdraw their membership in one, and win acceptance in an other. One player can be a member in one tribe only at a time.
The members only can feed their monsters, they cannot move it, or adjust it in any other way. The arrangement of the monsters depends on the Chief of the island; only the Chief has the power to move the monsters.
A little statistical insight of leveling:
Since one part of the weekly reward is a few diamonds, there isn't too much sense to level the monsters with diamonds.
The amount needed to level a monster is progressively growing with every each leveling.
Relationship between the currencies:
I will compare only coins and food to each other, the others has no reliable base to compare.
The ratio between the coins we have to spend for baked goods is kept in the tribal leveling, too! Ie. if we bake the food we have to pay ten time as much coins for it. Baked ice cream cost 15,000 and gives 1,500 food... etc. In this meaning, it doesn't matter if we spend the coins for leveling our tribal monster or we feed the food to it. There is still better to feed them with food, because if we bake the food first for the same amount of coins, it gives experience points... leveling up the tribal monster with coin itself doesn't come with extra experience point benefits.
The amount of shards are 1000th of the amount of food needed... ie... if there is 24,000 food needed for one feed, the corresponding shards needed is 24.
I think, for a higher level player, who has an established ethereal island going, the shard is the most convenient currency to feed the tribal monster with. One, level 15, 1E makes 300 shards in roughly 7 hours... 300 shards are enough for feeding the tribal monster up to appr. level 9 or 10 (next time I level my tribal monster, I will pay more close attention to the numbers)... and it is only ONE, ONE ELEMENT ETHEREAL!
Therefore, statistically speaking, the shard is the most economical currency to use in leveling the tribal monster. To achieve the same level as you achieve with shards, you'd need 1000 times more food, and 10,000 more coins - staying with our example, what takes 300 shards, would take 3,000,000 food, or 30,000,000 coins! To bake 3,000,000 food you'd need 6 pie baked for 2 days, or 30 turkey baked for a day...etc. In the mean time you need 7 hours worth of shards from ONE, 1E ethereal monster...
Therefore the rank among the currencies from the most economical to the most NONO!
1. Shard
2. Food
3. Coin
4. Diamond
Star Power:
Each member of the tribe earns equal amount of starpower as the total tribe level... ie, if the cumulative level of the tribe was 100 at the time of resetting, 100 starpower will be awarded to each member of the tribe, also to the island itself.
Everything resets weekly; the Amber Monster gets encased again, and all the monsters on the island drop back to level 1. The only thing is accumulated, is the starpower... each week, the earned starpower is added to the amount of the previous week.
If a member jumps a tribe in the middle of a period, his/her monster starts as a level 1 monster, again, even if it was already leveled up higher... The earned starpower remains with each member, though.
If anybody has anything else to add, please feel free to correct, or complete me!
Love you guys, and I hope we stay together, and build up a strong tribe together!
