! I've been avoiding the forum lately because I too have noticed the daily spammers...
just popped in to see if I could work out how long I have been playing with these monsters for but of course there was the previous forum so I will have to take a guess

For some reason I shied away from posting pix of my islands until I thought they were pretty much finished, but I've gotten so much pleasure out of watching how your islands evolve, I'm posting my basic starting-up Ethereal Island. I'm keeping one of each native tree and rock, decorations to be determined, and you can see my core pattern developing, but it has a long way to go!

dapuck - It's hard to time screen shots just right.
I'm never happy with the way I look in candid party shots, so why should it be any different for the monsters?
To me they just look introspective, and I respect that. After a while I get tired of being around the Pompom-types who never let up.

cat52 - Well, at least the kazilleons are trying to cheer everyone up. The rest are just being patient waiting for new friends and a decorator who said she'd be there Friday but who hasn't even called yet.

1luvgaming - YEA baby, that's the way to staff those SM, 1 or 2 of each with plenty of bed space & room to decorate.
I love the neat clean look. For the life of me I don't know why one needs more bed space if we have enough to accommodate at least 1 SM of each kind. I guess for the sound/music of them. ;)
Just like this world is overcrowded with people - so shall our islands be overcrowded with SM's.
I love the design of your tiles, it is sooo beautiful. Hope you have enough bed space to complete your desired end result.

muzziee - All those monsters lined-up struck me as looking as though they were, perhaps, in line for concert tickets? (or NOT) And your signature HI is a pleasantly familiar feature that I'd recognize anywhere! It's fun to see how your island is progressing, TNX for sharing :~)

pkjgbr - I like the way the spiral developed with the colours that reflect the castle closest to the castle and then moving through like a rainbow to finish with black grumpyre to the fore and next to the mine which suits him. I also like the squeed statue between the blue torches with that little tile in front, that's a very attractive use of those two small spaces and makes them stand out. Using different heights in the monsters seems to create a different visual movement even in this still pic. Good going. :)

Well, I tried switching and you are right, it looks okay but not better - the greens next to the greenest monsters is good but the blue native tree gets lost and the rocks looks sort of naked, so I put it back the way it was...okay then -

You know I kinda like the new castle with the dragong near it to make it fit a little better & with the ambered thing it draws the eye also. You may have helped me make up my mind. huggz
Also I think I may need to remove a couple of trees & rocks, yours look so neat & seemed to give the extra space for SM placement. So you just might see a new picture in a couple of months vs years.

I tried to do something similar with my Shugabush Island but couldn't pull it off. Yours turned out even better than the one I imagined in my head. BRAVO! w00t

wrenbird - That's so funny because that was me trying to replicate the yellow brick road and it didn't work. I was trying to do on my Shuga island what you succeeded on your Ethereal. I'm glad you like my maze even if it was supposed to be something else. lol Sometimes the ideas in my head just don't translate to real life which is why I am not a princess wearing pretty dresses and living in a castle. I am Cinderella before the fairy godmother came and helped. :|
