Ohhhh Moncsi, I am back, thank you. I thought I had lost you all, and I felt sick!!! Thank you for fixing - I'll try not to panic if it happens again. All smiles now.

I just read your instructions for using Tinypic, and am about to try it for the first time. Hope I don't blow up the forum!
Okay, well I tried it with uploading a pic of mine, but it was not tiny - it was HUGE! So, I deleted it. Thanks for the tutorial, tho. The process was fairly seamless.
Well, back to the drawing board... :-S

Hey Danny! If you don't specify otherwise, Tinipic will use the default size, which is the entire space in the post-box. If you want your picture appear smaller than the default size, you can instruct TP to resize before you click on upload I will go back to TP tut, and post how the different sizes look like... thanks for drawing my attention to this!

Okay, trying this again, since further instructions were provided. If I can do this, you will see me about to be eaten by a shark O_o Yeah, there we go! Actually, this is one of the tour boats in operation at the Clearwater, FL public marina, where we went for our 33rd anniversary in Dec '14 (note the short sleeves, ha ha!) We'd actually reserved a luncheon cruise on a replica showboat, but not enough peeps showed up, so tour was cancelled (and refunded). So, we took this zippy boat for a ride around part of Tampa Bay. It was great, but chilly, as fast as this thing went! Hopefully, I can get this transferred into my avatar, as the last pic is 8 years old, from our 25th in Cancun. Ooo! I see we got an award - yippee!

Aww, shucks! But, thanks :-* Personally, I think the shark is cuter lol.
Anyway, I am curious about something - I've noticed that whenever you change an avatar (on the old forum, as well as this one, and maybe it's a feature of ALL forums), it changes on all your prior posts, as well. You might think there would be a time limit, as in changing the past 24 hours, which would be handy if you made a mistake. Picture this conversation - Moncsi: "Your current avatar is inappropriate for this site. Change it, or I will banish you for life!" Me: "Oops, sorry." Change Or this - Moncsi: "Did you notice that in your pic, your fly was down?" Me: "Oops, sorry." Change
So, 24 hours would be a handy time frame. But no, it changes all the way back. I wonder why this is? hrmm

The reason for this, that the avatar section in our profile is coded as a "static page" - and the power of the profile is extended for the whole forum, hence you change something in your profile, it will change everything linked to it, without a timestamp. I think, there is a plug in allows you to have different avatars in the same time, but I think, it works more like WHERE did you make a post as opposed to WHEN.
I look after. :-*

Plus, supposing nobody notices your fly was down until you'd had the avatar for three months? I mean, not likely here perhaps, but I have to say it is not one the things I automatically check out any more blushing-smiley-emoticon

That's funny, Cat, thanks for a good laugh. 8D And, Monci, as usual when you discuss computer or forum operations, I have no idea what you mean. However, if it doesn't exist, I'm sure you or bobbyjoe could invent it. The world needs peeps like you - please don't ever abandon us to our ignorant fate. no-no-smiley-emoticon

OK, Moncsi, I have no clue what I am doing and how to get avatar, but I'm up for learning vicariously. I thought your avatar was a fennec! It is adorable. Well, off to do some exploring of the site. :)
